Abstract: Froth flotation has been widely used in upgrading iron ores. Iron ore flotation can be performed in two technical routes: direct flotation of iron oxides and reverse flotation of gangue minerals with depression of iron oxides. Nowadays, reverse flotation is the most commonly used route in iron ore flotation.

ادامه مطلبPre-19th century placer mining operations used mercury to dissolve the gold in crushed ore, making it easier to recover. Later innovations include the MacArthur-Forrest Process and borax flux extraction. However, one of the most interesting methods is froth flotation. Froth flotation works by exploiting the hydrophobic properties of gold molecules.
